Character Artist

SPIRIT GAMES STUDIO S.A. is a Warsaw-based studio operating in the computer games industry. The studio is developing new projects based on Unreal Engine and Unity.

• 2–3 years of experience as a Character Artist in the gaming industry.
• Very good knowledge of ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Blender or Maya.
• Ability to create stylized and semi-realistic characters, animals, and creatures.
• Experience in creating clothing and costume elements.
• Knowledge of creating optimized assets and textures for Unity and Unreal Engine.
• Experience collaborating with animators and understanding rigging and animation requirements.
• Basic knowledge of Unreal Engine and Unity.
• Good knowledge of topology, UV mapping, and real-time rendering constraints.
• Portfolio presenting relevant works.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Marvelous Designer.
• Experience in grooming (creating hair/fur).
• Basic knowledge of rigging.

• Creating stylized animals and creatures for the game.
• Working on the full asset pipeline: modeling, texturing, and optimization.
• Collaborating with concept artists to maintain visual consistency and correct project interpretation.
• Creating characters compatible with existing rigs and animation requirements.
• Close cooperation with animators to ensure proper deformation and animation of models.
• Creating accessories and additional elements for characters.
• Preparing assets and textures optimized for real-time engines (Unity, Unreal Engine).
• Ensuring correct model topology for rigging and animation.
• Participating in improving the production pipeline and workflow.
