Software Engineer 2 (Java / Kotlin) - Platform Team

Our team focuses on Developer Experience (DevEx), maintaining core tools and components that power Allegro's software delivery lifecycle. We manage a massive self-hosted runners cluster, administrate GitHub Enterprise, and build tools for building and releasing code. The team handles Java/Kotlin microservices backed by MongoDB and maintains a central library bridging developers and infrastructure. We support dozens of engineers daily to ensure seamless CI/CD processes and impact hundreds of releases across the company.

• Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin
• Proficient in Linux system management
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
• Experience with GitHub and building CI/CD pipelines
• Willingness to learn containerization and orchestration technologies
• Knowledge or interest in Big Data
• English language proficiency at B2+ level

• Code in Java and/or Kotlin
• Manage Linux systems operating at massive scale
• Automate everything using Ansible and follow Infrastructure as Code (IaC) philosophy
• Build efficient, developer-friendly environments for CI/CD pipelines using GitHub
• Expand skills into containerization and orchestration to build portable and resilient systems
• Develop and update knowledge in software and Big Data depending on client needs
• Ensure SDLC is fast, reliable, and scalable
• Maintain Java/Kotlin microservices and central library
• Collaborate closely with internal users to improve CI/CD processes
