Software Engineer - Claiming Experience

At AirHelp, we help travelers receive the compensation they deserve by designing and building the entire Claiming Experience, the interface and logic guiding millions of users through securing evidence for compensation. Founded in 2013, AirHelp has assisted over 3 million passengers and protected over 12 million travelers through its membership program AirHelp+. The company has a global team of over 400 employees speaking 19 languages and advocates for fair air passenger rights through APRA.

• 3-5 years of experience building production-grade software.
• Strong full stack development skills with a "polyglot mindset".
• Expertise in frontend performance, accessibility, and sophisticated state handling.
• Mastery of TypeScript and use of tools like Zod for strong typing.
• Pragmatic approach focused on shipping user value and maintainable code.
• Ability to thrive in an iterative, fast-paced startup environment.

• Design and implement features handling complex business logic and legal data while maintaining a world-class user experience.
• Take end-to-end responsibility for features, from backend services to rendered UI.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous delivery with daily production deployments.
• Help modernize architecture by implementing modern development principles and type-safe API contracts.
• Participate in deep code reviews and technical discussions.

Deliverables in the first year:

• Launch "Just In Time" Document Validation engine providing instant feedback to users.
• Lead redesign of the document upload flow focusing on speed, resilience, and seamless mobile-web interface.
• Optimize and scale internal assessment systems to handle increasing claim volumes.
• Contribute core features to the "Document Hub", the centralized internal document processing and storage engine.

The role is based in Kraków and requires 2 days work from the office.
