Business Expert - Cost Processing & Transactions (m/f/d)

Our team is part of the Cost Processing & Transactions cluster at Commerzbank, providing standard reporting for controlling group costs, processing accounts payable and travel expense reports, and supporting the CFO department with IT systems. The team consists of around 150 employees across Frankfurt, Bremen, Hamburg, Lodz, and Prague, serving clients in Germany and abroad. They manage approximately 200 accounting and controlling processes and 45 IT products, developing and maintaining applications used in group and segment controlling for planning, analysis, and reporting functions, adapting quickly to regulations and needs.

• Financial background, preferably in accounting or risk
• Knowledge of Head Accounting (HA) or familiarity with the concept
• SQL knowledge or willingness to develop in this area
• Experience defining requirements for changes in structures and processes, especially in finance landscape and internal finance IT systems
• Strong analytical skills and structured, methodical work
• Ability to handle, analyze, and prepare large data volumes

• Work enthusiastically in an agile, cross-functional team on process and functionality development and implement technical requirements
• Independently analyze problems, develop solution suggestions, and provide recommendations
• Discuss accounting and controlling requirements with users and customers using basic technical and procedural knowledge
• Specify implementation requirements and necessary tests, responsible for their implementation and documentation in development and operations
• Work independently and responsibly on assigned topics and actively participate in overarching topics
