DevOps Engineer (AI)

Sopra Steria is one of the largest tech industry players in Europe, specializing in consulting, digital services, and software development. The Polish branch operates as a Global Delivery Center in Katowice since 2007 with around 1,000 specialists. The Digital Platform Services department focuses on cloud, operating systems, virtualization, databases, backup, storage, networking, and security. The Application Services department handles software development, data engineering, testing, CRM, ITSM, ERP integrations, and application management for customers in Scandinavia, Benelux, France, Germany, Switzerland, and the UK.

• Good knowledge of IT security principles.
• Advanced experience in software development with Git, Python, and TypeScript.
• Experience with AI tools for developers (Amazon Q, Kiro, Claude), coding assistants, AI agents.
• Experience delivering AI solutions to customers at scale.
• Practical experience with IDEs such as VS Code and IntelliJ.
• Strong hands-on experience in AWS.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CDK, Ansible.
• Service management experience (ITIL or similar).
• EU citizenship.
• Fluent English (B2/C1).
• Openness to occasional business trips abroad and visits to the Katowice office.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of existing services by identifying optimization opportunities.
• Write unit and integration tests to increase confidence during development and deployment.
• Utilize Gitlab, CI/CD, and scripting skills to automate deployment and code analysis.
• Suggest and implement automation to streamline deployment, configuration, and monitoring tasks.
• Work closely with architects, system administrators, and developers to ensure integration and interoperability.
• Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
• Engage in knowledge-sharing activities and contribute to team expertise.
• Document code, scripts, and configurations thoroughly for maintainability and knowledge transfer.
• Contribute to creation and maintenance of technical documentation for the squad.
