Senior Frontend Developer (Daylight)

Shiji is a global technology company dedicated to providing innovative solutions for the hospitality industry. Its cloud-based portfolio includes Property Management System, Point-of-Sale, guest engagement, distribution, payments, and data intelligence solutions for over 91,000 hotels worldwide, including the largest chains. The company builds the Shiji Platform, a global hotel technology platform.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as JavaScript or Front-End Developer.
• Advanced understanding of JavaScript ES6 and TypeScript.
• General awareness of web application performance best practices.
• Experience working with or contributing to JavaScript-based build systems (e.g., Babel, Webpack).
• Experience with React and React Hooks.
• Interest in testing, code review, and code quality.
• Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Jest/Enzyme, and Web Components.
• Experience with Ember.js is nice to have but not required.

• Develop a part of a distributed system serving the hospitality industry.
• Enable hotel employees and managers to handle reservations, payments, and hotel services within and between hotels.
• Work in cross-functional teams developing domain-oriented microservices.
• Participate in iterations with refinements, planning, and retrospective meetings.
• Use Gitlab for code synchronization with develop and master branches and create feature branches for each User Story.
• Commit daily and use CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab.
• Open merge requests and participate in code reviews.
• Use Docker and Docker Compose for local development and deployment of microservices.
• Communicate via Teams and cooperate with UI/UX department to provide optimal user experience.
• Create internal NPM packages and design systems to share work and avoid repetition.
