Frontend Developer

Shiji is a global technology company dedicated to providing innovative solutions for the hospitality industry. Their cloud-based portfolio includes Property Management System, Point-of-Sale, guest engagement, distribution, payments, and data intelligence solutions for over 91,000 hotels worldwide, including the largest chains.

• Minimum 3-4 years’ experience as JavaScript or Front-End Developer
• Advanced understanding of JavaScript ES6/TypeScript
• Good knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience with JavaScript based build systems (e.g., Babel, Webpack)
• Experience with React ecosystem including React hooks
• Interest in testing, review, and code quality
• Familiarity with Git
• SOLID understanding of best practices, processes, and design patterns
• Good English, both written and spoken
• Open mind, contribution in discussions, and good communication within the team
• Participation in designing solutions
• Readiness to share knowledge and help team members
• Self-reliance in daily work with willingness to ask for help

Nice to have:

• Basics of Linux and Docker
• Familiarity with LLM-powered coding assistants
• Experience with form libraries
• Knowledge of Functional Programming and Object Oriented Programming
• Experience with Ember.js

• Work as part of an agile development team collaborating with developers, designers, and other stakeholders
• Participate in iterative cycles including refinement sessions, planning meetings, and retrospectives
• Use GitLab with feature branches for each User Story, synchronize work with develop and master branches
• Commit daily, use CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins), and submit merge requests for review
• Develop and deploy microservices locally using Docker and Docker Compose
• Communicate and coordinate within the team mainly through Microsoft Teams
• Collaborate with UI/UX department to deliver applications with optimal look and feel
• Contribute to internal NPM packages, building reusable components, design systems, and shared functionality
• Develop and maintain software features based on visual mockups and UX descriptions in scrum manner
• Deliver high-quality, functional, and performant code
• Write tests and perform code reviews
• Contribute to the infrastructure leveraged by the team for development
• Participate in design of solutions with team members
• Share knowledge with other developers
• Work with microfrontends and microservices in a multi-region environment
