Wymagania

Technical Expertise:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Dell ECS administration including software upgrades, node replacement, object storage protocols (S3, Atmos, Swift), replication groups, namespace management, and data lifecycle policies.
  • ECS GeoDrive and CAS (Centera) migration experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of underlying infrastructure including PowerEdge servers, networking switches, and Data Domain integration.
  • Proficiency in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) command line for debugging and log analysis.
  • Experience with Python, Bash, or Ansible for automation of storage tasks and reporting.

Soft Skills:

  • Proven experience working embedded within a customer team with ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Fluent English (C1 level required); Polish language proficiency highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills under pressure.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Dell ECS Certification (e.g., Dell EMC Proven Professional Specialist – ECS) highly preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.

Obowiązki

Platform Operations & Maintenance:

  • Serve as the primary technical authority for the Dell ECS infrastructure.
  • Perform proactive health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning of the ECS cluster.
  • Manage the lifecycle of the platform, including software upgrades, firmware updates, and hardware replacement coordination.
  • Monitor system alerts, logs, and metrics to prevent downtime and resolve incidents within agreed SLAs.

Incident & Problem Management:

  • Provide Level 2/3 escalation support for storage-related incidents.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues involving object storage (S3, Atmos, Swift), replication groups, and data access latency.
  • Coordinate with Dell ECS Global Support and internal engineering teams for root cause analysis (RCA) and hardware failures.

Customer Advisory & Integration:

  • Advise the customer on best practices for bucket policies, access controls (IAM), and data protection (replication, geo-protection).
  • Assist application owners (SAP, Veeam, Commvault, or custom DevOps teams) with integrating S3-compatible applications with the ECS platform.
  • Conduct regular architecture reviews to ensure scalability aligns with business growth.

Documentation & Knowledge Transfer:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of the environment, including configuration changes, network topology, and SOPs.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for the customer’s internal IT staff to enhance their operational capabilities.
