Azure DevOps Cloud Engineer

Work for the largest bank in Europe, which operates in more than 65 countries around the world giving access to over 90% of all world trade flows. Verita HR is an international company providing recruitment support within Fintech, Finance and Banking market in EMEA.

• Proven hands-on experience in Azure WAF engineering
• Strong background in cloud network security and secure architecture
• Experience deploying IaaS/PaaS in Azure
• Understanding of DevOps, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM, PowerShell or Ansible)
• Skilled in building CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub
• Familiarity with security/compliance standards and tools like Microsoft Sentinel or Defender
• Experience with high-availability web infrastructures (e.g. proxies, load balancing)
• Technical knowledge across key Azure services (identity, networking, compute, storage, containers, databases)
• 6 years of experience in a similar position

Nice to have:

• Industry cloud certifications, multi-cloud experience Azure + GCP/AWS
• Programming experience in PowerShell, Terraform, Python, Windows command prompt and object oriented programming languages
• Experience of Linux administration and scripting

• Develop and enhance Azure WAF as part of a broader uplift programme
• Build and manage the Azure platform to support app deployments
• Deliver Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions (e.g. Terraform) and reusable engineering patterns
• Configure and manage core cloud services (IAM, networking, monitoring, containers)
• Handle Azure networking: ExpressRoute, DNS, IPs, NSGs, Azure Firewall
• Ensure compliance with operational risk standards (network, OS, logging, etc.)
• Support CI/CD/testing pipelines and apply central patches
• Maintain documentation, troubleshoot, and assist application teams
• Stay current with technology trends and share knowledge
• Collaborate closely with Cyber Security and other teams to align on requirements
• Provide day-to-day infrastructure support
