Senior Design System Designer

Hostinger is a fast-scaling company with over 4 million clients in 150 countries and multiple product teams shipping in parallel. The design system is treated as a product in its own right and requires evolution to be more consistent, flexible, and ready for AI-assisted workflows.

• 5+ years of product design experience with significant time spent on or leading a design system.
• Deep expertise in Figma including variables, auto-layout, component architecture, and multi-mode tokens.
• Strong understanding of design tokens, naming conventions, theming, and translation to CSS custom properties or design-to-code pipelines.
• Experience working across multiple product teams and building systems that designers want to use.
• Comfortable working independently with high ownership and knowing when to ask for input.
• Familiarity with AI tools and their integration into modern design workflows.
• Strong communication skills to explain system decisions to product managers and engineers.
• Portfolio demonstrating clear examples of design system work including decisions and adoption stories.

• Lead the evolution of Hostinger’s design system including architecture, component library, token structure, documentation, and governance.
• Partner with multiple product teams to ensure the design system serves real design needs.
• Define and maintain design tokens across themes, breakpoints, and platforms.
• Drive adoption across the design guild by running critiques, writing contribution guidelines, and facilitating proper usage.
• Use AI tools to accelerate system work such as generating variants, stress-testing components, and identifying inconsistencies.
• Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure Figma components map cleanly to code.
• Track and communicate system health metrics including coverage, adoption, debt, and impact.
