Backend Engineer | Mid - Senior | Go | Nord Checkout

The Nord Checkout team is a cross-functional team that develops and maintains one of the business-critical services responsible for the final step of the user purchase journey. Their work includes scaling services, introducing new features to support a secure, fast, and pleasant user experience, and providing access to user purchase data to other teams.

• Strong Go background with a pragmatic, technology-agnostic approach to problem-solving
• Proven experience building and integrating with REST API microservices
• Knowledge of system design patterns and their appropriate use
• Deep relational database knowledge
• Good working knowledge of NoSQL databases
• Experience with asynchronous communication patterns using message brokers
• Good written and verbal communication in English
• Integrity and an ownership mindset

• Design and develop highly scalable, resilient, and secure microservices
• Write high-quality, tested, maintainable code and perform well under load
• Collaborate with team members, QA, DevOps, and security teams on day-to-day tasks
• Ship new features and fixes successfully and on time
• Create technical designs and write good documentation
• Perform R&D operations and find solutions to new and challenging problems
• Demonstrate ownership of tasks from start to finish
• Constantly learn and grow professionally
