Product Support Manager (Investment Banking Tech)

HSBC Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) is a leader in the foreign exchange market, providing comprehensive FX trading services globally. The FX Options team operates across multiple countries including the UK, Poland, Canada, Hong Kong, and Guangzhou, collaborating across time zones. The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team focuses on enhancing engineering practices and developing tools to empower teams, working on projects spanning the entire trade lifecycle with advanced technologies to modernise legacy systems and trading platforms.

• Proven team lead experience.
• Familiarity with Production Support Model (PSM) and/or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
• Knowledge of IT Service Management processes including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
• At least 5 years’ experience in technology development or support.
• Proficiency with Spring, Maven, GitHub, Jenkins, JIRA, and CI/CD tooling.
• Experience with Linux (Bash or Korn shell scripting) and Windows scripting.
• Excellent troubleshooting, reasoning, and analytical skills with clear problem articulation.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Knowledge of exchange traded instruments.

• Lead the Production Support Service team in FX Options.
• Drive compliance for Risk & Controls.
• Coordinate with broader Markets IT to align Run the Bank (RTB) activity and associated KPIs.
• Manage audit and compliance topics with functional pods.
• Define best practices for production management in collaboration with development leads.
• Oversee the team’s tooling applications and foster collaboration with other pod leads.
• Support and deploy systems using best practices across FX Options teams.
• Work closely with business stakeholders in London, Hong Kong, New York, and other centres to ensure production stability and project delivery.
