AI Engineer

apreel was founded in April 2010 by friends who dreamed of creating their own software house. As the company grew and gained client trust, it expanded its services to include IT expert leasing, which is now apreel's main business pillar. The founders continue to pursue their passion for creating proprietary IT solutions and aim for continuous improvement.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, ideally 7+ years across backend/API/integration and cloud platforms.
• Strong software engineering background focused on production systems.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language used for AI systems (Python preferred); C#/.NET is a plus.
• Hands-on experience building and integrating RESTful APIs; GraphQL experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems fundamentals including concurrency, async I/O, resiliency/retries, rate limits, caching, and performance optimization.
• Experience with RAG systems: document ingestion pipelines, chunking/metadata, embeddings, retrieval strategies, grounding, and evaluation.
• Experience with agentic frameworks and orchestration concepts such as planning, routing, tool use, and human-in-the-loop interruptions (e.g., LangGraph, LangChain, Microsoft Semantic Kernel).
• Understanding of LLM application quality and safety including evaluation approaches, hallucination mitigation, prompt/version management, and guardrails for sensitive data.
• Experience working with model platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI/OpenAI) and designing for reliability (timeouts, fallbacks, quotas).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a strong ownership mindset and passion for AI engineering.
• Languages: Polish (expert), English (advanced).

• Integrate LLM capabilities into enterprise systems focusing on engineering and orchestration, not traditional model training or ML research.
• Ship production-grade LLM applications including RAG, tool/function calling, and agent orchestration with reliability, security, and observability.
• Guide, mentor, and unblock other engineers to build AI engineering capabilities.
• Design, build, and operate production systems with strong software engineering fundamentals.
