Software Engineer (Data Science)

• 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering, preferably in backend or data-focused systems
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin or Java for backend development
• Good knowledge of SQL and experience working with large datasets
• Experience building data pipelines or data processing workflows
• Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably GCP
• Basic experience working with data analysis or machine learning workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Very good command of English (spoken and written)
• Openness to occasional on-site team meetings (up to once per quarter) in Poznań or Warsaw office
• Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required

Nice to have:

• Experience with Scala, Spark, or other big data processing tools
• Experience with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools
• Familiarity with ML platforms such as Vertex AI
• Experience with React or data visualization tools

• Developing backend services and applications using Kotlin or Java
• Processing large data volumes using Scala and BigQuery
• Designing and maintaining data pipelines using Apache Airflow in the Cloud Composer (GCP) environment
• Working with Google Cloud Platform services to build scalable and reliable data infrastructure
• Preparing and transforming datasets for machine learning processes
• Supporting the development and training of AI/ML models, including experimentation and A/B testing
• Performing exploratory data analysis and creating visualizations to support business insights and decision-making
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven applications and AI-enabled solutions

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
