Software Engineer, PhD, Early Career, Compute Infrastructure, Spatial Flexibility

Google's software engineers develop next-generation technologies impacting billions of users. The Compute Infrastructure and Spatial Flexibility team focuses on resource management and workload orchestration across the entire Google fleet. The team works on optimizing infrastructure efficiency and reliability, advancing large-scale Machine Learning and confidential computing capabilities, and strategic global capacity planning. Google Cloud delivers enterprise-grade solutions to help organizations digitally transform their business and industry.

• Experience with software design.
• Experience in computer science, data structures, and algorithms.
• Experience with coding.

Preferred qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or graduated from a PhD program.
• Experience in concurrency, multithreading, and synchronization.

• Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
• Develop, test, integrate, and release these solutions.
• Advocate your ideas to others when cooperation and coordination is required.
• Code in C++, Golang, or Java.
