Principal SME - Network Security Consultancy

The role is part of the Cybersecurity Technology and Engineering organization, focusing on network security consultancy, thought leadership, and project delivery to maintain and improve network security posture.

Essential Skills:

• Deep understanding of network design and security technologies: firewalls, IDPS, content filtering, load balancing, DDoS, NAC, WAF, and network segmentation.
• Strong knowledge of network security threats, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging technical leaders and management.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and regions, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading projects and engagements independently.
• Proficiency in Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Desirable Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
• Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCNA, CCIE).
• Scripting skills (Python, Perl, or similar).
• Familiarity with cloud security concepts and security operations tools (e.g., SIEM, incident response).
• Knowledge of Agile/DevOps methodologies and IT service management principles.

Experience:

• Extensive experience in data networks and security design/engineering, preferably in a highly regulated environment.
• Proven ability to analyze data from multiple sources and provide actionable insights.

• Provide expert advice and guidance on network security controls for Business and IT projects.
• Identify and drive opportunities to improve network security posture based on current control and technology environments.
• Analyze network and cybersecurity data (e.g., system logs) to support decision-making and evidence control effectiveness.
• Lead complex engagements, representing Network Security interests and acting as a delegate for the team lead when required.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Cybersecurity, IT, and other functions to ensure alignment and effective delivery.
• Continuously reassess network security risks, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.
