Senior Accounting Expert – Banking Systems

Our Client is a dynamically growing bank operating in an international environment. They are currently undertaking a large-scale strategic project to implement a new core banking and accounting system.

• Several years of experience in banking accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards, including UoR and IFRS / IAS.
• Understanding of accounting treatment for banking products, treasury operations, financial, regulatory, and management reporting.
• Prior experience supporting system implementations or major accounting system changes (hands-on involvement is a plus).
• Independent, proactive, and capable of defining solutions and sharing expertise.
• Ability to work confidently in a dynamic, project-driven environment.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written) for collaboration in an international environment.

• Define accounting requirements for the new system, including chart of accounts, accounting schemes, and treatment of banking products.
• Provide expert guidance on accounting for banking products, treasury operations, back-office processes, and reporting.
• Review and provide accounting and reporting opinions on new banking products.
• Support the project team in system testing and validation.
• Identify accounting or system issues, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with Polish Accounting Act (UoR) and IFRS / IAS.
• Act as a business partner for project teams, contributing to decisions and ensuring accounting correctness.
