Consultant – IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)

This role is within the IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) team, part of the Financial Planning & Analysis function, focused on creating transparency and enabling off-the-shelf reporting for the business in the IT industry.

• Proven experience across the full project lifecycle: Requirements, Build, Test, Deploy, and Documentation
• Hands-on IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) development experience
• Experience with TM1 system maintenance and configuration
• Strong database skills (SQL Server)
• Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles
• Ability to work independently without supervision
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to interface effectively with business users
• Strong communication skills, able to adapt to both technical and business audiences
• Ability to gather, understand, and translate internal business requirements
• Experience designing, implementing, and documenting IBM Planning Analytics solutions
• Ability to support finance colleagues through demonstrations and training
• Experience diagnosing and resolving issues in existing Planning/TM1 installations
• Strong relationship-building skills across business units and end-user groups
• Finance or Accountancy background is considered an advantage
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Structured, persistent, and result-driven working approach

Nice to have:

• Experience with AI forecasting tools or techniques

• Maintain and further develop the EClient Budget and Forecast model
• Support the M&A onboarding of newly acquired companies into the Client Data Model
• Collaborate with the finance team to develop new TM1 models
• Oversee the TM1 system to ensure smooth operation, system performance, and timely issue resolution
• Manage end-to-end development of assigned projects, including documentation
