Java Developer

Scalo is involved in a railway industry project aimed at expanding the existing IT infrastructure of the company, with a focus on integration with the MFT-Touch system.

• 4 years of experience as a Software Java Developer
• Very good knowledge of Java and experience with Python
• Understanding of software design principles (Design Patterns, GoF, SOLID, DRY)
• Knowledge of Git and typical workflows (GitHub / Bitbucket)
• Ability to write bash scripts and good knowledge of Linux (Debian)
• Experience with modern software development practices: clean code, unit testing, TDD, code review, pair-programming
• Fluent communication in English (B2+)

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of C++ (11+), STL, Qt, QML, Docker, JIRA, Confluence, RabbitMQ, Embedded, Robot Framework, XML, JSON, networking concepts, and tools like Wireshark

• Participation in a railway industry project focused on expanding existing IT infrastructure and integrating with the MFT-Touch system
• Working on a very large, complex, and long-term codebase, ensuring compatibility across multiple projects
• Developing and maintaining code, integrating new functionalities with existing modules
• Close collaboration with experienced developers and active communication to clarify requirements
• Participation in processes such as clean code, TDD, code review, and pair-programming
