Database Engineer

Devire Outsourcing IT is a collaboration model dedicated to IT specialists based on self-employment (B2B), delivering projects for clients running innovative and modern projects. The position is for an international client specializing in digital transformation, software engineering, cloud, and data.

• Minimum 4 years of experience managing large, highly available database systems (PostgreSQL / MongoDB).
• Experience in automation using Python or Bash.
• Documented experience working with Kubernetes and Helm.
• Very good command of English in spoken and written form (minimum B2+ level).

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining database infrastructure using StatefulSets, Operators, and Helm charts to ensure reliability, self-healing, and scalability.
• Managing the full deployment lifecycle of database clusters including version control of Helm charts and configuration templates.
• Supporting and administering production database systems through active monitoring of performance, security, and availability.
• Performing updates and migrations (major and minor releases) without downtime by creating and maintaining Helm hooks and dedicated scripts automating stateful operations.
• Optimizing backend data stores performance, ensuring data consistency and integrity during pod lifecycle.
• Creating and developing automation tools (Bash, Python) simplifying Kubernetes environment management (e.g., provisioning users/secrets, cluster state monitoring).
