Expert Data Engineer

Jit Team is a Polish company employing over 700 experienced experts, creating highly specialised teams for clients worldwide. They have a long-term partnership with a leading financial group in the Nordic countries, engaging over 200 personnel in more than 60 projects for this Norwegian financial services provider. The client emphasizes Scandinavian culture, work-life balance, and international teams with English language exposure.

• Strong experience in SQL
• Hands-on knowledge of ETL development
• Experience with modern data warehousing solutions
• Understanding of data modeling principles
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices
• Experience in Spark & Scala (minimum 5 years)
• Experience in Python (minimum 7 years)
• Experience in Linux (minimum 5 years)
• Experience with distributed data processing engines like Spark
• Experience with Hadoop and related tools (Hive, Oozie, MapReduce, etc.)
• Advanced SQL skills
• Previous experience in creating data flows
• Expertise in BitBucket and GIT
• AWS certification or experience
• Unit testing experience (Junit 5, Mockito, Spark testing)
• Code versioning and branching strategy knowledge
• Advanced English skills
• Collaborative and effective communication in Agile (SAFe Framework)

• Designing and developing ETL processes
• Building and maintaining data pipelines
• Optimizing performance and scalability
• Ensuring high data quality and validation standards
• Collaborating with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Supporting deployments and production environments
• Building distributed and highly parallelized big data processing pipelines handling massive structured and unstructured data in near real-time
• Leveraging Spark to enrich and transform corporate data for searching, visualization, and advanced analytics
• Working closely with analysts and business stakeholders to develop analytics models
• Continuous delivery on Hadoop and other big data platforms
• Automating repeatable and reliable processes
• Working closely with QA team
