Junior Infrastructure Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field is preferred
• Keen interest in learning storage technologies and working in an infrastructure support role
• Experience with UNIX (Linux, AIX, Solaris), VMware or other hypervisors, and Windows operating environments
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong inter-personal skills
• Strong ability to self-learn new storage technologies
• Monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills

• Experience of working in an infrastructure support role and/or a keen interest in learning the role of an infrastructure support engineer in the storage realm

• Responsible for the ongoing maintenance, security, and availability of Storage and SAN infrastructure based on business requirements and adhering to tight operations, security, and procedural models
• Responsible for automation of infrastructure tasks to reduce repetitive or time-consuming processes, utilizing SRE principles and practices and an infrastructure as code methodology
• Responsible for complex provisioning, advanced maintenance, data replication, disaster recovery, data migration and documentation for Open Systems Storage and Backup environments
• Demonstrate a high level of technical expertise to support complex Storage & Backup devices, including SAN, NAS and Backup solutions across all tiers, under minimal supervision
• Be scheduled On-Call to support the infrastructure and systems
• Willingness to work on shift days (Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00AM to 6:00PM local time)
