Database Engineer

ITFS is a consulting company from the Tricity area with a branch in Warsaw. It focuses primarily on IT specialist recruitment and creating project-based Software Houses for clients from Poland and Western Europe.

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience working with databases and/or in cloud environments.
• Experience with GCP (AlloyDB, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Datastream) or other clouds (AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL.
• Ability to work with Liquibase and Docker.
• Ability to write Bash scripts.
• Basic knowledge of Python for automating administrative tasks.
• Knowledge of Backup & Recovery, Disaster Recovery, High Availability (HA), and security (IAM).
• Ability to design relational database structures for performance and scalability.
• Experience working in Scrum teams and good communication skills.
• Advanced English proficiency (minimum B2/C1 level).

• Preparing and sharing data on contract prices and spot prices, converting to metric tons where necessary.
• Redesigning large tables and optimizing their maintenance.
• Migrating data to partitioned tables and managing processes for cleaning old partitions.
• Copying data between production, testing, and development environments.
• Assisting in migrating older operational data from Postgres.
• Migrating Oracle and MySQL databases to Google Cloud Platform with minimal downtime for production systems.
• Designing scalable and stable data solutions in the cloud.
• Supporting the backend team with query optimization and data issues.

• Salary of 23,500 to 26,900 PLN per month.
